Waingroves Show Weekend!
Every year, on the second weekend in September (13th, 14th, & 15th September 2024), Waingroves hosts their yearly village show! Split up into three days, we host many activities and events that we always make sure there is something everyone can enjoy! From face painting and bouncy castles, to live music and horticulture there is something that the whole family can enjoy.
On Friday 13th September 2024 we will be hosting a live band at Waingroves Thorn Tree Inn. This year's band have yet to be announced so keep coming back for more updates soon!
Last year we had LickSquid performing for us and they were amazing! We can't wait to find out who we have performing for us this year!
Saturday revolves around the Horticultural Show. Anyone can come and display their produce (Fruit, Vegetables, Flowers, Paintings, Handicrafts) and try and win those all important prizes! We also have a Children's section: this include many of the adult classes but split into three age categories for 15 and unders to compete in. Unlike the adult classes, children's classes are completely free to enter and for every single exhibit they enter they win a chocolate bar! 20 exhibits..... 20 bars of chocolate!!!!!! As well as the Horticultural Show many events happen around the village that day including the infamous Water Wobble, a Bug Hunt and various side stalls. The local pub, the Thorn Tree Inn, will also be hosting many events over the weekend too!

And if all this wasn't enough we've not had our biggest day yet! Sunday is held on the Primary School Field, We start early in the morning with our Fun Run around the local area and open air Church Service. Then you should have just enough time to freshen up before the Show Day is officially opened with a marching band parading through the village. The School Field will have many stalls for you to look at: Cakes and Tombolas, BBQ and Beer Tent, Raffles, Face Painting, Creepy Crawlies, Birds of Prey, Bouncy Castles, Fair attractions and more. We've had everything and more in the past and we change every year so come and visit us and see what we have to offer this year!

Waingroves Show will be taking photographs/video throughout Show weekend and at other events. These photographs/video will be used for Show purposes only for promotion of the Show and for reporting and recording of events. This may include using them on the Show website and social media pages, along with displays at other events. Please note that other groups and also individuals may also take photographs/video and potentially share with others. If you are not comfortable with the above, please speak to the person taking photographs/video or speak to an event organiser.
